Following the really Great Burns Supper in January the Mixed Burns Supper takes place on 24th February. It promises to be just as successful, but there are still spare tickets - get them at the bar.

Facebook launch.
I am delighted to let you know that we now have a Facebook Page dedicated to Social Events. It compliments this Blog and the Noticeboards, and is well worth checking out. If you are not on Facebook, sign up, and search for Williamwood Golf Club Social. You can then see emails/posts online whenever the pages are changed. I hope it proves informative, and is available for 2 way communication. Please give it a go. I was a beginner to Facebook, and now realise that if all I use it for is the WGC Social site it will be worth while, and it is free!!!

The Annual Burns Supper was a great success with high quality speakers, singers, and some excellent piping. With the Toast to the Haggis and Tam O'Shanter ably undertaken by our own Martin Baker and Ken Ralston. A great night, and a special thanks to Captain Alex Martin for arranging the excellent speakers.
The next 2 events in February are the second Poker Night of the winter, and also the ever popular
Mixed Burns Supper.

The Poker night is on Friday 10th February, and you can book your place in the usual way by ringing the club or with an call to Les on 01416371783, or contact me on mailto:pduncan@sky.com or 07879604402, or speak to Craig Armstrong or Graeme Love. Alternatively just add your name to the list by the bar when you are in.

The Mixed Burns Supper is on Friday 24th February, and is a great night. Tickets are on sale from the bar or by contacting the office in the usual way. Get your tickets quickly as they go fast.
Over the next week or so, I will be adding more information to the blog on upcoming events and will be keeping it as up to date as I can. If you have any comments about the blog, please drop me an email, call me, or corner me when I am at the bar. Cheers Pete.

Wishing all our members a happy and prosperous New Year! Here's hoping 2012 will be drier than the wettest year on record.....2011!

One of Williamwood's key differentiators as a golf club is the consistency of participation by its members in the many social events throughout the year. We host around 20 events per annum ranging from the Childrens Christmas Party to the Mixed Burns Supper.

Your committee is working continuously to improve the ambiance of the clubhouse and also on the planning, organising and communication of social events. Our objective is to arrange top quality events that will attract your valuable attendance.

By simply clicking on each individual month on the right of this page you'll see the list of planned events for the period to February 2012. As new events are arranged, this site will be updated accordingly and I would urge you to add this site to your 'Favorites' to ensure you don't miss out on events you'd like to attend!

Many thanks to all members who supported the festive social events at Williamwood Golf Club. The next event is the Annual Burns Supper which commences at 7:30pm on Friday 20th January.
